Below are some of Nicole's artworks presented within mostly on-line worldwide competitions. She did not enter any of her works for a while due to extensive traveling and long stays in Europe.
Now she feels like it is a good time to change that fact as she intends to remain in the State of Arizona for an unlimited period of time.
The artwork: "Ophelia" was amongst the finalists in the Artrom Gallery "Digitally 2005 competition!" in Rome, Italy.
Ophelia was created in similar fashion to non-digital paintings;
using software-based brushes, canvas and paint,
manipulated on a computer platform, here in PSP, with a mouse. No use of plug-ins on this one. Just plain old mouse-drawing.
The artwork: "Lady and Gift" on the left, was presented and chosen as a finalist-artwork in the Art Periscope Gallery International digital art, juried online contest on "The Effects of Light" 2006.
This fairy created in PSP, is a blend of direct-mouse-drawing, photograph of a flower, polymerging and various external plug-ins applied to targeted areas.
The artwork: "Through the Wings of a Butterfly" was also a finalist in the Art Periscope Gallery International digital art, juried online contest on the "Effects of Lights" in 2006.
Blend of direct mouse-drawing, photograph of a butterfly, polymerging and multiple external plug-ins to achieve the effects. The wings were totally repainted for the semi-precious gems/stained glass look. My very first artwork in this style.
The artwork: "Secret Garden" on the left, was amongst the finalists in the Digitation 2006 International digital art contest held by the Artrom Gallery in Rome, Italy. Secret Garden was created in PSP. Blend of direct mouse-drawing, photograph of a butterfly and various plug-ins applied to targeted areas.
"Green Hope" has been
selected for the "10th Annual Collage Digital and Mixed Media
International Online Juried Art Exhibitions" 2008. By June 01, the
artworks will be part of the exhibition through May 31st 2009. Thank

"Galactic Butterfly" makes its guest appearance in the 365 Pictures Prompts
from Creativity Portal's first-ever worldwide collaborative daily
prompt project. This particular original digital creation airs March 29 of every year!

Nicole hopes to participate in more contests in the future, a serious health condition placed a few exhibitions/contests on hold.
